Make buildings and cities for your s&box game
Genesis is a set of Windows tools for s&box. Design a house, walk through it, then place it in a city you can open and edit in s&box.

Build your first city in minutes
Framework V2 starts with an empty building library. Add a starter pack below, or import buildings you made, then generate a city. Its setup also installs Genesis Studio, which opens every tool.
Then make your own buildings
Each step is its own tool. Genesis Studio shows what to do next and opens the right tool with your building already selected.

Starter buildings
Framework V2 starts with no buildings. Each pack holds the buildings its city style needs, made and validated with Genesis: download a pack, open Framework Importer, click Add Starter Pack… and choose the file. Buildings you make yourself import the usual way.

Genesis Studio only
The home for your tools, with no tools inside. You don't need it if you downloaded a tool above.
Install
- Open the setup you downloaded and click Install. If Genesis Studio isn't installed yet, setup installs it first.
- When setup finishes, click Open Genesis Studio. Studio highlights the step to do next, and the tutorial walks you through your first city.
- To add another tool later, download and open its setup. Your buildings and cities stay where they are.
What you need
- Windows
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. No administrator rights needed.
- s&box
- Installed through Steam. You need it to use the tools, not to install them. If Studio can't find s&box, it asks for its folder.
- Disk space
- About 4 GB for Studio and every tool. Framework V2 alone uses about 2 GB.
- Nothing else
- .NET is included, and setup works without an internet connection.
Update or remove
- Update: close the tool and s&box, then open the newer setup and click Update. Files you edited are kept.
- Remove a tool: in Studio, click Install tools / manage packages, select the tool, then Remove selected package.
- Remove everything: remove the tools first, then Genesis Studio.
Check a download
Each file's SHA-256 code shows it hasn't been changed. Run this in PowerShell, then compare the result with the table.
Get-FileHash "$HOME\Downloads\Genesis-Framework-V2-Setup.exe"
| File | SHA-256 |

| The codes appear here once the release is uploaded. | |
